Lepaya signs Diversity Charter

Amsterdam, March 30, 2021 – Lepaya, provider of online and offline power skills training for fast-growing companies, has signed the Dutch Diversity Charter. The Diversity Charter, an initiative of Diversity in Business, promotes diversity and inclusion in the workplace. By signing the charter, Lepaya commits to focusing on ethnic-cultural diversity in the field of affiliated trainers, recruitment strategies and the rest of the workplace.
“Every day we work to make fast-growing organizations future-proof. Future-proof, diversity and inclusion are inextricably linked. This means that a focus on diversity and inclusion is indispensable in our own organization. We strive for a workplace where there is room for everyone, regardless of someone’s background, profile or preferences, ”says René Janssen, founder of Lepaya.

Lepaya commits itself to set targets, in collaboration with the Economic and Social Council, to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The goals on which the company will focus in the coming year include increasing ethnic diversity within the Lepaya workforce, employee satisfaction and inclusive recruitment strategies, such as a diverse candidate pool and active checks on inclusive job descriptions.

With more than 65% female employees and 21 different nationalities on board, Lepaya has been pursuing an active diversity policy for some time now. Lepaya and Bynder recently joined forces to get more women into tech through specially designed development programs. The power skills scale-up is now taking further steps in its diversity and inclusion mission by actively promoting more ethnic-cultural diversity.

About Lepaya

Lepaya provides power skills training that combines online and offline learning. Founded in 2018 by René Janssen and Peter Kuperus who believe that the right training, at the right time aimed at the right skill, makes organizations more productive. Lepaya has already trained thousands of employees. As a challenger in an overcrowded training market, Lepaya responds to the needs of Europe’s fastest-growing tech companies, such as Mollie, Takeaway, and Picnic. By combining hard skills with soft skills, offered together as power skills, the Amsterdam company is growing faster in a market in which the demand for further education and training continues to increase throughout the world. In 2020, Lepaya raised an investment round of €5M and independently acquired Smartenup, a training company that supports professionals to work better, faster, and smarter with data. Lepaya focuses on the Dutch, Belgian, German, and Swedish markets and serves its customers worldwide. More information about Lepaya: www.lepaya.com
