Soft skill scale-up Lepaya expands to Sweden

Challenger traditional training market first to bring power skills training to the Swedish market
Amsterdam, January 20, 2021 – Lepaya, provider of online and offline power skills training for fast-growing tech companies, today announced its expansion to Sweden. Following successful launches in Belgium and Germany, the challenger of traditional training institutes is now also entering the Swedish market. Lepaya is responding to the explosively increasing demand in Europe for employees to develop skills that will never be replaced by robots.

Digitization, accelerated by the pandemic, will eliminate millions of jobs. At the same time, millions of new jobs will be created. Closing this mismatch between the skills that employees now possess and those they will need in the future is, therefore, one of the greatest challenges that European organizations face. Lepaya supports these organizations by upgrading the power skills of employees: a skill set consisting of both hard and soft skills that robots cannot replace. The scaleup brings the training courses to the Swedish market today, as the first provider of its kind.

“Sweden is a market in which organizations regard employee satisfaction to be of great importance. By letting employees develop skills for the labor market of the future, both digital competencies and soft skills such as empathy and persuasiveness, organizations become more productive and their employees happier. Swedish organizations have focused heavily on closing these skills gaps in recent years. We are very excited to start helping them do this as efficiently as possible!”, says René Janssen, Founder and Managing Director of Lepaya.

Following a recent €5M funding round, Lepaya acquired Smartenup, a training company that supports professionals to work better, faster and smarter with data. The expansion to Sweden announced today is the next step in Lepaya’s European expansion mission.

As a challenger in an overcrowded training market, Lepaya responds to the needs of Europe’s fastest-growing tech companies, such as Mollie, Takeaway, and Picnic.
