Lepaya enters the UK market

Fast-growing skills scale-up now active in five European markets

Lepaya, provider of online and offline power skills training for fast-growing companies, is expanding to the United Kingdom. The Amsterdam-based challenger of traditional training institutes previously expanded to Belgium, Germany and Sweden. Lepaya is now taking the next step in its European expansion and, starting today, will also enable British companies to increase the sustainable employability of their employees.

By 2030, two-thirds of the UK workforce will lack digital skills, while more than 10 million workers will be under-skilled in skills such as leadership, communication and decision-making. Lepaya’s goal is to reduce the imminent talent shortage by supporting employees with the right skills. By focusing on improving power skills, skills that will not be automated and ensuring sustainable employability, the company will bring its training offering the British market.

Lepaya’s growth ambitions do not stop at the United Kingdom and the company aims to become a major international player in the training market in addition to the five European countries in which Lepaya is already active. In 2020, the scale-up raised an investment round of €5 million and independently acquired Smartenup, a training company that supports professionals to work better, faster and smarter with data. This year, Lepaya was selected by for the new generation of the growth program Rise, an exclusive program that focuses on rapidly scaling up progressive Dutch tech players.
